Dear K,
I leave in a little over 2 weeks! My trip is mostly planned but I still need to learn more about all the places I’ll be and things I’ll see. I wish you were here to tell me about them yourself. If you were, I imagine we’d get together for a weekend of planning over drinks. I got out your old Italy scrapbooks instead. I’m grateful to have them but it just wasn’t the same.
I hope you’ll find ways to tell me what I should do and see. I start my trip in Rome and I can’t wait to learn about the city you lived in so many years ago. I know I won’t do the history and art justice on my own. I always relied on you for those kinds of details. But I promise I will do my best.
